In January 1965 the Prime left for a WestPac cruise, sometime during this trip the ship and crew crossed the International Dateline.  To a young Seaman Apprentice at that time I was impressed and really didn't know what to expect.  It really went uneventful, but was recognized by the daily Plan of the Day and we all received an certificate along with a Domain of the Golden Dragon card.  I lost mine years ago...but RD3 Gerald Konz kept his for the 1966 cruise.  He sent them to and I am displaying them below for all to remember back.
